Panhellenic Sorority Primary Recruitment

Iowa State University Panhellenic Sorority Primary Recruitment occurs each fall for students interested in seeking membership in one of the 15 National Panhellenic Conference chapters on campus. This week is the one time students can visit with all 15 groups to determine the best sorority for them. 

Intersested students should register between now and August 6, 2018 at 8:00 a.m.

The registration fees will be as follows:

ORIENTATION SPECIAL THROUGH JUNE 28, 2018: $250
REGISTRATION THROUGH JULY 21, 2018: $275
LATE REGISTRATION THROUGH AUGUST 6, 2018: $300

In addition to the registration fee which covers meals and the Panhellenic recruitment fee for the week, students will be asked to pay for an early move in fee which will appear on their university bill. For students living in the residence hall the cost is $125. For students living in Frediricksen Court or SUV, the cost is $50. Scholarships are available for students who apply within a specific time period. More information is in the registration portal. 

If you must cancel your registration, please notify cpcrecruitment@iastate.edu or call 515-294-1023 prior to August 1, 2018. Any remaining registrations on August 1 will not be refunded if a cancellation is necessary. 

Primary Recruitment Scholarship

The Iowa State University Collegiate Panhellenic Council is offering four scholarships to women participating in Primary Recruitment 2018.  This Scholarship will cover your registration fee and early move-in cost (up to a $425 value). 

The woman must meet the following qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA from high school or 2.5 GPA from college (transfer or current student)
  • Participate in all of Primary Recruitment Welcome Weekend (August 11 and 12)
  • Provide an essay on one of the Iowa State University values: Academics, Civic Engagement, Friendship, Leadership, or Social Justice

The scholarship winners will be announced throughout the summer on Facebook and contacted directly via email. The scholarship funds will be directly deposited to the woman's university bill pending the completion of Welcome Weekend.
